Digital Marketing Specialist

As a “Digital Marketing Specialist” you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing online marketing strategies to promote products, services, or brands using various digital channels. Your primary goal is to drive online engagement, increase brand awareness, generate leads, and ultimately, contribute to the organization's business objectives. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, creativity, and technical expertise to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of digital marketing.
Key responsibilities
Strategy Development 
Creating and implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with the organization's goals and target audience. This involves selecting the appropriate digital channels (such as social media, search engines, email, content marketing, etc.) for reaching the intended audience.

Content Creation
Developing and curating engaging and relevant content for various digital platforms, including website articles, blog posts, social media updates, videos, infographics, and more. The aim is to provide value to the audience while promoting the brand.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Optimizing website content to improve its visibility on search engines like Google. This involves keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and link-building strategies.

Paid Advertising
Managing online advertising campaigns using platforms like Google Ads, social media advertising (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, etc.), and display advertising. This includes budget management, ad targeting, A/B testing, and performance analysis.

Social Media Management
Creating, scheduling, and monitoring content across various social media platforms. Engaging with the audience, responding to comments, and managing online communities are also important aspects.

Email Marketing
Developing and executing email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and maintain communication with existing customers. This includes designing email templates, segmenting the email list, and analyzing campaign performance.

Analytics and Reporting
Using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and other tracking platforms to measure the effectiveness of campaigns. Analyzing data to make informed decisions and optimize future strategies is crucial.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Identifying opportunities to improve website user experience and design in order to increase the percentage of visitors who take desired actions, such as making a purchase or filling out a form.

Market Research
Monitoring industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of changes in the digital marketing landscape.

Collaboration
Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, content writers, developers, and marketing managers, to ensure cohesive and effective campaigns.

Emerging Technologies
Staying updated on emerging digital marketing technologies, tools, and trends to adapt strategies and techniques for optimal results.

Budget Management
Allocating and managing budgets for different digital marketing activities to maximize ROI.
Education 
A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, demonstrating a solid foundation in relevant subjects. Additionally, possessing certifications from esteemed tech giants like Google, Meta, and Adobe would be advantageous, showcasing a commitment to ongoing learning and proficiency in digital marketing tools.
Experience
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, indicating a strong grasp of industry trends and strategies. Prior experience in executing successful campaigns, analyzing data, and engaging with target audiences will be highly valued. Demonstrating a track record of achievements and adaptability in various digital marketing platforms and techniques will strengthen candidacy.
Skills
Self-starter with strong ability to perform in a multi-task, high volume environment.

Comfortable in learning about new technologies, not afraid to dive deeper into advanced marketing technology conversations and at times lead those conversations individually.

A learning mindset, with an extremely steep uptake curve for new technologies as well as understanding team dynamics across the organization.

Strong team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Highly comfortable in dealing with large amounts of data, analyzing data-sets and generating insights for presentation to a wider audience.

Strong presentation and communication skills.

Ability to develop and execute actionable plans with internal teams/managers and external partners.
Qualifications
A solid understanding of SEO/SEM.

Proficient with Digital Marketing tools to assist with managing campaigns.
